You don’t have to do this alone.

Hey there, friend,

We were never meant to do life alone – giving birth, raising babies, facing health challenges.

As a San Antonio doula, newborn care specialist, and medical companion, I strive to be that “village” you’ve been looking for – compassionately holding your hand and your heart through all of life’s big moments.

So breathe, mama – we’ve got this. I’m going to walk with you through this big transition together so that you can come out the other side seen, supported, and ready to blossom and thrive.

Experiencing a vulnerable situation?

(Homeless, sexual assault victim, post-abortion, teen or single mother)

I see you, you’re not alone, and it would be my absolute honor to accompany you in this tender season.

Birth doulas are so needed – but as I journeyed with families, I thought, “Wouldn’t it be great if we had doulas for other big transitions too?” The messy highs and lows of postpartum – the sleepless nights with a fussy newborn – the vulnerability of a confusing doctor’s appointment.

So I see my job as a life doula – someone to walk with you, support you, and pray with you through all of life’s big moments – literally and figuratively holding you so you can blossom and grow in the beautiful life God has prepared for you.

Supporting Blossoming Life as a San Antonio Doula

  • Taking care of YOU while you give birth to a whole new life – for your baby and yourself

  • Grief support and planning assistance if the unthinkable happens

  • Taking care of YOU so you can take care of your baby

  • Holding you by holding your baby (so you can sleep and recover)

  • Never go to the doctor or medical procedure by yourself again

“Bloom where you are planted.”

Hi mama! I’m Mary, the doula and founder here at Rosula Doula.

———————

You’re probably here because you want something different –

Maybe you’re looking for an alternative, holistic approach to labor and birth…

Or your faith is really important to you and you want someone who “gets it”…

Or you have unique circumstances that lead you to need support outside of the delivery room…

———————

As a San Antonio Doula, I view doula work differently – I see it as accompaniment through all of life’s big transitions. Labor and birth, yes, but also postpartum, bereavement, newborn, and medical accompaniment too. A “Life Doula,” if you will. Here to serve you every step of the way.

———————

With my unique approach blending holistic health, evidence-based care, and Catholic and Christian values, it would be my honor to serve you, pray with you, and cheer you on no matter what life has thrown your way.

———————

And with a heart for the vulnerable, I have a particular mission to serve women in difficult situations who are often overlooked – those experiencing homelessness, teen and single mothers, those who are pregnant after a past abortion, and sexual assault survivors.

———————

The most important thing to know about me? I’m not judging you – I promise. Your situation, parenting style, “messy” house, awkward medical needs? Zero judgment, because I’ve been there. It’s my honor to step over the laundry with you as we journey through this transition together.

Testimonials

Sarika Desai (Aug. 22, 2022) —

“We are proud parents of X, and I am happy to write a letter for Mary. I was 2 months postpartum when I needed help with the baby at night, and Mary took care of X for me. She is sweet, on time, and cares about her work. She was able to watch my infant at night. She is eager to help the mom as well and cares about their well-being."

Maura Strittmatter (Oct. 10, 2022) —

“I would whole heartedly recommend Mary R. for any child care position. Mary was a night nanny for my newborn son, X, from the time he was a couple weeks old until he was about 4 months old.”

Let’s turn that life transition into transformation.

Let’s turn that life transition into transformation.

Transitions in life aren’t supposed to be just hard – they’re meant to transform us. As your doula, it would be my honor to walk with you through that transition so that you blossom on the other side.
