Care Beyond the Cradle - a blog
This space is a soft landing - a place for tender reflections, faith-filled encouragement, and honest musings from the heart of a doula who’s held many babies, and still longs for her own.
Here, I write about birth and postpartum care, Marian femininity, spiritual motherhood, and the quiet strength it takes to walk with others through their becomings. Whether you’re a mother, a birth worker, or simply someone who sees beauty in our mess, I’m so glad you’re here.
Make a cup of tea (or coffee), and stay a while. You’re not alone.
With care,

For the Mothers I Haven’t Met Yet
I did not know her name, but I prayed for her and her baby before we ever met.
Last Friday, a Christian woman with a Catholic family background reached out, looking for a faith-based doula who takes Medicaid clients. She was the exact mother I had been praying for, longing for support, and hoping to be met with care that honors both her faith and her strength.
This is the story of that answered prayer - and the sacred calling of birthwork.
